I am unaware of the machine gun that soldier is using on the far left? I do know that the SS grenadier who is kneeling might have a MP-18

The weapon is the ZB vz. 26 LMG. the bases for the english bren gun. the german army used it through out the war

The SS-VT ( Waffen-SS in late 1940 ) were only given czech and 2nd class weapons because of the OKW's lack of faith in the SS. they had to scratch up anything they could find

a simply method to identfy the troops by uniform is the position of hoheitsadler:
on the right breast for Wehrmacht (dependent from OKW);
on the left arm for SS and Polizei (dependent from Ministery of Internal affairs and/or Party or other)
